In the early hours of 27th November I received a call about a deer that was hit by a car near Redditch.
I went out and collected the poor thing and kept him wrapped up in some thick duvets over night to let him settle. In the morning when I went to check on him to my amazement he was up and walking around! His legs weren't broken as was expected at the time and he seemed to just be dealing with some shock. So we kept him peaceful and warm with plenty of fresh food and water and kept a close eye on him. After a few days we decided it was best for him to go back to the wild rather than be kept at the centre if there was nothing wrong with him. The vet cleared him and later that evening he was released and boy was he a happy soul. He appeared to look round just before he ran off as if to say thanks for all your help. Very touching indeed. As always a big thank you to all of our supporters for their kind donations as you can see they help in a multitude of ways. Warm regards, Ray Comments are closed.
