Tawny Owl

Back in early March we had a Tawny owl brought in to us who had managed to get himself tangled up in a string of fairy lights. He had got extremely distressed and caused some minor damage to his wing. Other than this however he seemed well, a good weight and in good condition. We cleaned up his wounds and taped his wing up so he hopefully wouldn't damage it any further and kept him in one of our hospital cages. He definitely seemed to appreciate the rest and easy supply of food! After a few weeks of cleaning and re-wrapping, his wing seemed to have healed nicely so we put him in one of our larger pens to see how he managed. Below you can see him posing for the camera! His wing seems be back to normal and he seems to be using it without any issues. We hope to be releasing him soon and will keep you all updated.
